Green means safe to go

Business Banking Online is now even safer to use, thanks to Extended Validation Certificates. You might have noticed a green address bar when you logon to Business Banking Online with a compatible browser (such as Internet Explorer 7). This green address bar tells you that you are on a secure, genuine BankSA website.

If you haven’t seen the green address bar, we recommend you update your browser setting to Internet Explorer 7 to take advantage of the extra security. To update your browser, download Internet Explorer 7 from the Internet Explorer website.

For Windows XP users:

If you have upgraded to Internet Explorer 7 and are using Windows XP, the Phishing Filter and/or Certificate Revocation needs to be on for the address bar to turn green on a site that uses Extended Validation Certificates.

  • To turn on the Phishing Filter (which would be on by default):
Tools > Phishing Filter > Turn On Automatic Website Checking
  • To turn on Certificate Revocation (which would be off by default):
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > scroll to Security > select Check for Server Certificate Revocation then restart your browser
