Amplify FAQs

  1.  Who can apply for an Amplify Card?

The Amplify Credit Card is available to new and existing BankSA customers who satisfy our normal lending criteria. Terms, conditions, fees and charges apply.

  2.  How do I apply for an Amplify Card?

It’s easy to apply for Amplify. Apply in any of the following ways:

    Apply online
    Call 13 13 76
    Visit a branch

  3.  I already hold a BankSA credit card. How do I switch to Amplify?

You can switch to an Amplify card by completing a Credit Card Product Transfer form. Or call us on 13 13 76 or visit any BankSA branch to discuss your options.

  4.  How do I link my Amplify Card to my Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number?

When you apply for your Amplify Card, simply select 'Amplify Qantas' as your rewards program option. Include your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership details on your Credit Card Application or Credit Card Product Transfer form. Or let us know later by calling us on 1300 490 641.

Joint account owners can nominate only one of them to receive Qantas Frequent Flyer points earned on an Amplify Card linked to Amplify Qantas.

If you are an existing Amplify cardholder and you would like to switch from Amplify Rewards to Amplify Qantas, simply complete our Program Switch Request. As soon as we have processed the form you will begin to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points on your purchases. You will have 90 days to redeem any remaining Amplify points.

  5.  What if I’m not already a Qantas Frequent Flyer program member?

If you’re not already a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, we’ll send you an application form once your product transfer has been processed.

Once you are a member, your Qantas Frequent Flyer points will be credited to your nominated Qantas Frequent Flyer account each month after the end of the statement cycle.

  6.  Can I switch between rewards programs?

Yes, you can move from Amplify Qantas1 to Amplify Rewards2 or from Amplify Rewards2 to Amplify Qantas1 at any time by completing a Program Switch Request.

Where a change of rewards program is processed mid cycle, transactions made before the switch is processed will earn points towards the old program (subject to that program’s terms and conditions). Transactions made on or after the day the switch is processed will earn points in the new program (subject to that program’s terms and conditions).

    Important:

Points already earned within the previous rewards program will not be transferred to the new rewards program. You will have 90 days to use your Amplify points if you switch from Amplify Rewards2 to Amplify Qantas1. Qantas Frequent Flyer points are governed by the conditions in the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.

  7.  Which transactions will earn points on the account?

Only eligible purchases made on the account will earn points in your chosen rewards program. You do not earn points on balance transfers, BPAY® transactions and cash advances or in other circumstances as set out in the program terms and conditions.

Any refund or charge back transaction processed on a retail purchase will reverse the points earned for that transaction.

You could be prevented from earning points on purchases or redeeming existing points if your account is not in order.

  8.  How are the Amplify points allocated on a joint account?

Amplify Rewards2: Amplify points earned on a joint account are shared for redemption. Either party on a joint account can log onto the rewards website and redeem points earned by using their account or cards3

Amplify Qantas1: only one accountholder can be nominated to have the Qantas Frequent Flyer points earned from the joint Amplify account to be credited to the Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account. The Qantas Frequent Flyer membership account needs to be in the same name as the nominated accountholder.

Joint accountholders can select to change the accountholder nominated by calling the Amplify service centre.

  9.  When do my points get updated or transferred?

For Amplify Rewards2, Amplify points are updated the next business day after a transaction is posted to your account.

For Amplify Qantas1, Qantas Frequent Flyer points earned in a statement cycle are transferred to the nominated Qantas Frequent Flyer account after the end of that statement cycle.

  10.  How can I check my points balance?

For Amplify Rewards2 members, activate your rewards account at amplify.banksa.com.au or by linking from your account details page on Internet Banking. You can then access your reward account details on the website. Activation is only required the first time you log on.

Qantas Frequent Flyer points balances can be checked at qantas.com/frequentflyer.

For both Amplify Rewards2 and Amplify Qantas1 programs, the total points earned in each statement cycle will be displayed on your monthly credit card statement.
