What to do if you have been targeted

If you suspect you have been the target of fraud or scams, or your identity has been stolen or compromised in any way, please contact BankSA immediately on 13 13 76 and report the incident (or +61 2 9155 7577  if calling from overseas).

Forward suspicious emails to or SMS/text messages to 0459 134 629, then delete the email or message.

We can investigate and assist with suspected fraudulent activity on the accounts and services held with us.


If you have received an email that you have identified as fraudulent or a scam and it contains BSB and Account numbers, it’s always a good idea to report this through to us, before deleting it from your inbox and deleted items.

It’s important to make sure that you don’t click on any links or open any attachments in the email to help prevent your device becoming infected with malware.

Sending this information to us assists in identifying potentially fraudulent bank accounts, to help all protect all our customers who may unknowingly be the target of a scam
