We’re making changes to the BankSA Personal Loans General Terms and Conditions
We are making the following changes to our General Terms and Conditions, effective 30 October 2025:
Personal Loan
- Updating BankSA’s Accessibility Support in the Customer Solutions and Support section.
- Removing reference to asking for a hard copy of the Banking Code of Practice within a branch or over the phone.
- Removing reference to ‘Smart ATM’ and replacing with ‘select BankSA ATMs’ in clause 4.5 (f)
- Removing the Mortgages section of the Information statement.
- Updating ‘20 days’ to ‘30 days’ when referencing written notice period in the Information Statement.
- Adding the key term in Important Information section - In certain circumstances either you or we may end the contract at any time before the Loan Start Date. See clause 2.3.’
- Adding the key term in Important Information section - ‘If you have made payments to your Loan Account in excess of those you are required to make, you may ask us to allow you to redraw these excess amounts. The amount of any redraw cannot be less than $500. See clause 6.3.’
- Removing text "the Car you’re purchasing" and replacing it with "your car" in the Security clause
- Removing reference to ‘Schedule’ and replacing with ‘Offer’ in the Interest and Fees / General clause
- Updating Section 23 of the Information Statement to reference the correct question for the AFCA scheme details
Get Set Loan
- Updating BankSA’s Accessibility Support in the Customer Solutions and Support section.
- Removing references to the RRB Fees and Charges booklet from the General Terms and Conditions
- Removing reference to asking for a hard copy of the Banking Code of Practice within a branch or over the phone.
- Removing reference to ‘Smart ATM’ and replacing with ‘select BankSA ATMs.’
- Removing references to the 'Loan Accounts - Charges for specific services and accounts' booklet from the General Terms and Conditions
- Updating ‘20 days’ to ‘30 days’ when referencing written notice period in the Information Statement.
- Updating “internet” to “online” for consistency.
- Adding an additional term within the Applicable Law section - ‘If we do not hold an address for you or your address is outside of Australia, the law of New South Wales will apply.’
- Removing the Insurance section of the Information statement.
- Updating Section 16 of the Information Statement to reference the correct question for the AFCA scheme details.
Personal Overdraft
- Updating BankSA’s Accessibility Support in the Customer Solutions and Support section.
- Removing reference to asking for a hard copy of the Banking Code of Practice within a branch or over the phone.
- Removing reference to ‘Smart ATM’ and replacing with ‘select BankSA ATMs.’
- Updating “internet” to “online” for consistency.
- Updating ‘20 days’ to ‘30 days’ when referencing written notice period in the Information Statement.
- Removing the Mortgages section of the Information statement.
- Removing the Insurance section of the Information statement.
- Updating Section 23 of the Information Statement to reference the correct question for the AFCA scheme details
