Digital Mail is the PDF version of the letters and communications relating to your accounts that you have previously received via the post.

The types of Digital Mail you may receive include changes to a product’s terms and conditions, changes to interest rates, missed payment advice, BPAY or direct debit failure advice and service letters.

Your Digital Mail is sent to the inbox attached to your BankSA Internet Banking account.

Your Digital Mail is accessed through your message inbox in Internet Banking.

Mobile Banking

1. Open the Mobile Banking App and logon
2. Tap Messages from the bottom menu

2. Select View all messages which appears on the top of your Internet Banking page

iPad users will need to sign into the website from Safari to view mail and update preferences.

Digital Mail is stored securely within Internet Banking so you’re protected against identity and mail theft that can be associated with paper mail.

You’ll receive an email when your Digital Mail is available in Internet Banking. You will need to logon to your Internet Banking to access your mail. 

An email will be sent to the email address attached to your account when your Digital Mail is available.

To keep your information secure, letters are never sent as an attachment to the email.

You should always receive an email notification to let you know when new mail has been sent to your message inbox in Internet Banking.

If you can’t see an email, please check:

• Your email address recorded in your personal details is correct, and 
• The email hasn’t been sent to your spam folder by your email provider

You don’t need an email notification to view your letters, these can be accessed through your BankSA message inbox in Internet Banking at any time.

Yes, it is important to keep your email address up to date with us to ensure we can notify you when you have Digital Mail available.

To update your personal details online, you will need to be registered for BankSA SMS Code.

Mobile Banking

1. Open the Mobile Banking app and logon
2. Tap Services
3. Tap Update contact details under My Details
4. Select Continue at the bottom of the page
5. Select the method (SMS or Voice Call) to receive your Secure Code
6. Enter the Secure code and select Authenticate
7. Update the required contact details
8. Select Save

1. Logon to Internet Banking
2. Select My details & settings
3. Select Update my contact details
4. Select Update at the bottom of the page
5. Select the method (SMS or Voice Call) to receive your Secure Code
6. Enter the Secure code and select Authenticate

We can re-generate the letter and have this posted to your address on file. You can do this by calling us on 13 13 76 or visiting your local branch.

Digital Mail preferences are provided by the product type i.e. Deposits, Residential Loans, Credit Cards, Insurance etc.

For example, it if you have three deposit accounts, you must choose the same preference for all of them, however this can be different to the preference selected for your Credit Cards.

Letters sent via Digital Mail include changes to a product’s terms and conditions, changes to interest rates, missed payment advice, BPAY or direct debit failure advice and service letters. 

For legal or other reasons, we are required to send some letters by post, therefore you can still expect to receive letters by post from time to time.

Yes. Your Digital Mail will be stored in Internet Banking for 18 months. After that, you can call us to request a copy of your letters for up to 7 years. To print your Digital Mail:

3. Select the Digital Mail you wish to print or save
4. Press Print on the top right-hand corner

Yes, you can switch back to paper mail at any time. You can do this online, by calling us on 13 13 76 or visiting your local branch
