Monday, 7 April 2014

Over 450,000 South Australians will have the opportunity to purchase BankSA Sea & Vines Festival tickets tomorrow, three days before they go on sale to the general public.

This exclusive offering for BankSA customers forms part of the bank’s naming rights sponsorship of the Sea & Vines Festival; a relationship that is now in its seventh year.

Held in the picturesque McLaren Vale wine region, the Sea & Vines is one of Australia’s longest running and most popular annual food and wine festivals held each June long weekend.

BankSA Chief Executive Nick Reade said while BankSA’s sponsorship offers numerous benefits to the general public, customers and employees alike, the opportunity to purchase tickets early means BankSA customers are almost certainly able to participate in any events of their choosing.

“Around 40,000 people flock to the region over the course of the event to meet leading McLaren Vale winemakers and enjoy their sensational wines, plus sample fresh, seasonal produce from the renowned Fleurieu Peninsula,” he said.

“The Festival is the perfect opportunity to discover new wineries or return to an old favourite, while enjoying a long weekend of entertainment with family and friends.

“Popular events have been known to sell out very quickly, so we’re pleased to be able to offer our customers this Sea & Vines pre-sale opportunity as a thank you for banking with us.”

This year, visitors are encourage to ‘make a weekend of it’, with over 40 events held each day of the long weekend, offering four types of styles: Experience, Zest, Relish and Delight:

  • Sunday Experience is a party atmosphere with great food, wine and live music guaranteed to have you dancing. Buy your Sunday Experience ticket and then simply select three of the participating venues/wineries to visit throughout the day;
  • Monday Zest guests are free to wander between participating family friendly venues at their leisure;
  • Relish includes ticketed events with a more relaxed vibe where wineries, restaurants and venues have organised a line-up of food, wine and entertainment for breakfast, lunch or dinner; and
  • Delight tantalises your senses during an intimate food and wine-matching dinner, or during a regional master class.

While the pre-sale of Sea & Vines tickets is an exclusive opportunity for BankSA customers, the bank also runs competitions with great prizes up for grabs, plus lots of free giveaways to the general public at large.

“The BankSA Sea & Vines Festival is a great South Australian event that is important to the cultural and economic fabric of the region, and we are proud to play our part in helping the event prosper and grow,” said Mr Reade.
