Sam is our virtual assistant available 24/7 in your BankSA App and Internet banking to answer your everyday banking questions. Sam can give you instant support online, so you don’t need to call us or visit a branch.

Simply type in your question, and Sam will help guide you.

How Sam can help?

"I don't recognise a transaction"
Sam can help you identify your purchases by guiding you to Look Who's Charging in the BankSA App.
"How do I update my details"
If you need to update your contact details, Sam is here to help.
"I lost my card"
If you've lost your card, want to lock it temporarily or need to replace it, Sam can guide you.
"I want to activate my card"
For Internet Banking and BankSA App features, Sam is here to help.

Where to locate Sam?

In the BankSA App

  1. Logon to the BankSA App
  2. Tap 'Contact us' from the bottom navigation bar on the home screen
  3. Tap on 'Chat now' in the bottom right corner. Sam will be available to you 24/7
  4. To resume a chat, tap on the chat bubble

 

In Internet Banking

  1. Logon to Internet Banking
  2. Click 'Contact us' from the bottom navigation bar on the home screen
  3. Click on 'Chat now' in the bottom right corner. Sam will be available to you 24/7
  4. To resume a chat, click on the chat bubble

Keeping your data safe

Sam helps you navigate Internet Banking and the BankSA App. If you need to chat to us, Sam can transfer you and chat to a person, Monday to Saturday 7:30am to 7:30pm to assist in resolving your enquiry. There are a range of account service questions that Sam can assist you. Sam helps by providing you with a link to click on and where to complete the action. Either in BankSA App or within Internet Banking.
