Fingerprint logon and Face ID have the same high level security as all authentication methods for Internet and Mobile Banking. If you wish to log on using biometric information (e.g. fingerprint or Face ID), you should ensure that only your biometric information is stored on the device.
The biometric information for only one face can be stored on the device for Face ID. You should ensure that only your biometric information (facial data) is stored on the device. Each time the device registers a use of biometric information to authorise any transactions through Mobile Banking, you instruct us to perform those transactions. This means that you should not register for Face ID sign in if you would like to have another person's face stored on your device.
BankSA does not collect or store your biometric information (e.g. fingerprint or facial data). Your biometric information is stored on your device (as part of the user settings) when you set it up and we rely on the device to authenticate your face if you choose to use Face ID or Fingerprint logon when accessing Mobile Banking.
