To avoid being charged interest on any unarranged debt, you should always try to keep a positive balance in your deposit accounts. If your account becomes overdrawn without arrangement, debit interest will be charged to that account. It will be calculated daily on the debit balance (and deducted on the last business day of each month) using the then current Unarranged Lending Rate (ULR) until the account balance is positive again. The current unarranged lending rate is available by contacting us on 13 33 22 (or +61 2 9155 7800 if calling from outside of Australia) or visiting www.banksa.com.au.
