Introducing Osko payments
Now that BankSA has rolled out fast payments to our eligible customers, an increasing number of your payments that you make or receive will happen in almost an instant, 24/7 - including weekends and public holidays. These near real-time payments automatically use Osko by BPAY®.
To make a fast payment to your family and friends with eligible accounts at participating financial institutions, all you need to know is their BSB and account number or PayID. They can also pay your BSB and account number, with payments typically received in a few seconds, but may take longer. Best of all, it's part of your Internet banking.
How will I know I've received a near real-time payment?
If the payment is made in near real-time, Osko or the Osko logo will appear next to the transaction in Internet Banking.
How will I know if it's going to be a near real-time payment when I make a payment?
You’ll know it will be a fast payment when paying a BSB and account number as Osko or the Osko logo will appear on the Review page in Internet Banking.
Who can I make near real-time payments to?
Only eligible personal, business or corporate accounts at a participating Australian bank or financial institution are supported by the fast payment network. Overseas and off shore bank accounts are not.
How do I make an Osko payment to a BSB and account number?

How do I make an Osko payment to a PayID?
To make an Osko payment to a PayID, you’ll need to have an eligible account.
Your payees must have registered their mobile number, email address, ABN (which includes ACN, ARBN and ARSN) phone number or Organisation ID as a PayID at their financial institution before you can make a payment to it.
From the Mobile Banking App, login and select Transfer & pay > PayID > Submit payment.

Near real-time payments made via Internet Banking are covered by BankSA Secure.
You should only pay people or businesses you know. Be alert to fraud and scams.

Osko is the overlay service developed by BPAY® that allows fast payments to be made.
Both the sending and receiving bank accounts must be enabled for faster Osko payments. Fast Osko payments will not be available on some STG accounts (including credit accounts), to offshore bank accounts or for transfers in a foreign currency.
Payments may take longer in some instances, such as where there is a technical interruption to the service, there is a payment to a first time payee or when the payment is caught for additional security screening.
