PayTo payments are not included in your Daily Payment Limit. Please ensure you check the details (amount and frequency) of the PayTo agreement carefully before you authorise it.
In some circumstances, acting reasonably, we may apply restrictions for certain businesses or merchants. This means:
- some businesses or merchants will not be able to send you PayTo agreements where the amount is over a certain transaction limit
- some businesses or merchants may not be able to send you any PayTo agreements
These ‘rejected’ PayTo agreements will not appear in your Internet Banking, and the business or merchant will not be able to initiate a payment from your account.
Understanding your PayTo Agreement
Your PayTo agreement can specify a regular payment schedule (e.g., monthly) with either a fixed amount or a variable amount with a limit (e.g. 'up to $100 per month'), as agreed with the business or merchant. If the payment frequency is set to 'anytime/ad-hoc', payments will be debited at intervals determined by the business or merchant.
If there are insufficient funds in your account when a PayTo payment is due, the payment will be declined. You will need to contact the business or merchant.
